Vex Node — Creator
A two-player abstract strategy game I’m building and shipping end-to-end.
Selected Internal Projects (high-level)
Examples of work shipped inside organizations (details not public):
Built an Excel-based tool for an order management team to extract cable details from a complex matrix.
Wrote SQL reporting and collaborated with BI to improve reporting supporting key financial disclosures at Dell Financial Services.
Owned a production lease-classification tool. I validated classifications against business rules, traced the gaps, and drove remediation decisions with IT/product and leadership.
At Ascension, joined as a contractor during a breakdown period, was promoted into management, and rebuilt critical close and reconciliation processes—including a complex cash reconciliation across four foundations.
Details not public; happy to discuss context.
I’m Aaron Horowitz, a CPA with a background in finance operations and a track record of solving messy, high-friction problems inside organizations such as Dell, Ascension, and Redwood Software. I’m the person teams call when they need clearer reporting, fewer manual workarounds, and outputs they can trust.
I build and ship practical solutions end-to-end, from the first problem definition to the final deliverable. I’m also the creator of Vex Node, a web-based strategy game I’m building and shipping as a personal product project.
